A charming stay

traditional stylespacious roomhelpful stafftoxic spray
I appreciated the traditional Portuguese style. My room was spacious and clean and had a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The staff were helpful and polite (nothing was too much trouble!).
I found an ant invasion in my room each night. The night receptionist used a toxic ant killer spray that left a terrible smell in my room. It is really not good enough for a 4 star hotel.
Rooms
9/10
The room included two comfortable twin beds and a wardrobe with ample space for clothing. It was well-kept. There was a small desk area suitable for working or writing, and the sea view from my window was just lovely. A tv with many channels was available.
Service
9/10
The staff members were consistently friendly and helpful . They quickly responded to requests and maintained a polite and professional attitude at all times (i appreciate that!). The check-in and check-out processes were efficient.
Dining
8/10
Breakfast included a wide selection of hot and cold items like scrambled eggs, bacon and various fruits. The restaurant offered an outdoor patio area with garden views. There was also a good selection of local pastries available each morning.
Location
10/10
The hotel is conveniently located near the water with a short walk to the center. The hotel is surrounded by other upscale hotels and not sketchy at all. It had easy access to the port.

The hotel breakfast was very good! It also offered terrace dining. I noted that the hotel has a Portugál style external architecture. The hotel provides a well-equipped space and a large, comfortable common area. I thought it was quite useful.

the location rocks! i was able to hoof it to cool spots so easily. the breakfast, i gotta say, it delivered with lots of choices. my room was a superior double or twin room balcony side sea view, and the space was sweet.
the service missed the mark for me. some staff seemed uninterested, like, not super helpful. plus, the pool felt a little old. the beds? man, they pushed two singles together and they were a lil hard too.

The gardens featured beautiful flowering plants attracting butterflies. I especially liked how well-kept they were! breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choices. The coffee was fabulous too.
the plastic cup i used leaked all over the bedside table though the room was fine otherwise.
